Milling Machine Operator A - 2nd Shift - ACC (Job Number: 337244)
Responsibilities- Sets up and operates all types of milling machines on diversified production, experimental or tool work, wherein methods must be devised to machine parts.
- Devises methods to clamp, block and hold work. Selects speeds, feeds and tools. Selects reference points. Uses dividing heads. Uses boring head with special tools and cutters. Works on all types of milling operations, including facing and milling, dovetailing, boring, reaming, gear work, etc.
- Uses a wide variety of attachments including slotting equipment, grinding wheels and grinding attachments. Frequently works without fixtures. Works to close tolerances.
- Various conventional, NC and CNC milling machines and the attachments thereto
- Machinists’ hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- Three (3) years performing the work above.
