QA SUPERVISOR - 3rd Shift

Fort Worth, TX.

Our client is a rapidly growing food ingredient manufacturer based in the Ft Worth, TX. area. Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire an experienced 3rd shift QA Supervisor to oversee QA on the off shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise food safety systems for operations and laboratory processes. Integral portion/member of SQF, Food Safety and HACCP systems, processes and teams with focus on continuous improvement.

  • Oversee internal and external laboratory process.
  • Assistance in training and development of training materials as needed for applicable departments.
  • Involvement in quality related customer complaint investigations.
  • Assist in third party & customer audit compliance.
  • HACCP Pre-shipment document review.
  • Supervision of Pre-Operational Inspection process.
  • Supervision over finished product testing and environmental monitoring program
  • Point of contact for 3rd party contractors (Sanitation, Calibration, Pest Control, etc.)
  • Review 3rd party documentation (Sanitation, Calibration, Pest Control, etc.)
  • Oversee best practices for alignment to Quality KPIs.
  • Perform other duties as specified by QA Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS in Food Science (or related) or 1-year verifiable experience
  • HACCP Certified
  • SQF Certified
  • PCQI Certified
  • Must have the ability to work third shift
  • Have the ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.
  • Have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Have the ability to enter and interpret data, create procedure, reports, graph, etc. utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to cold and heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration.
