We’re looking for a Content Specialist to own onsite SEO and content strategy and execution for a portfolio of law firm clients s isn’t a job for someone who just wants to produce words. We need someone who brings editorial judgment, genuine curiosity, basic SEO awareness, and the ability to make complex legal topics clear, accurate, and useful for real people.
You’ll have the support of our Content and SEO leadership, but you’ll be expected to take ownership of what you produce and collaborate closely with SEO, Strategy, Design, and other teams to get it right. What you’ll doPlan new content including blog topics that creatively tie back to each client’s practice areas and are grounded in keyword research
Edit, refresh, and improve legal content across practice area pages, location pages, blog posts, FAQs, landing pages, press releases, and other client-facing materials
Use AI workflows and tools to substantially edit content for accuracy, usefulness, structure, voice, and originality
Research legal concepts, statutes, jurisdiction-specific rules, and other factual information necessary to produce accurate content
Use editorial judgment to determine what a reader actually needs, where it should appear, and how clearly it should be explained
Create SEO-optimized outlines and keyword lists with clear instructions for writers
Work with the SEO team on internal link structure, SEO titles and metas, and general adherence to SEO and AIO best practices
Manage content workflows in Gather Content, including assigning content to writers and submitting for client review
Educate writers on how to improve their work and update content guidelines so the whole team has what they need to produce great copy
Write high-quality blog posts, press releases, or other content on the fly when needed
Support specialized assignments such as case studies, video scripts, email campaigns, social media posts, and Mean Pug branded content
Help establish new brand identities for clients, including slogans, mission statements, and brand values
Publish new content on client Word Press websites and assist with updates and content migrations as needed
Strong writing and editing skills with a demonstrated ability to produce clean, accurate, reader-first content
Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals including keyword research, on-page optimization, and content structure
Comfort working with AI writing tools and editorial workflows
Ability to research unfamiliar legal topics and translate them into clear, useful content
Strong attention to detail - you catch factual, formatting, and linking issues before they reach the client
Comfortable working cross-functionally with SEO, Strategy, Design, and other teams
Familiarity with Word Press for content publishing and updates
Self-directed and comfortable owning projects independently in a remote environment
Experience writing or editing legal content
Familiarity with Gather Content or similar content management platforms
Experience working at a digital marketing agency
Working knowledge of local SEO and AIO best practices
