MESA SPRINGS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH HOSPITAL, FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Outpatient - Innovations Camp Bowie

Job Type: Full-time – Days Monday‑Friday, 8‑4 pm

Base pay range: $10.00/hr – $10.00/hr

What You’ll Do
  • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
  • Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
  • Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Perform timely and accurate QI assessments
  • Assess the patient and plan care within set time frames and document findings according to policies
  • Oversee and supervise the shift
  • Demonstrate leadership through duties such as delegating tasks, group supervision, close observation, and meal supervision
  • Oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered
  • Monitor the patient for changes of condition and respond accordingly, up to and including notifying the physician
  • Follow hospital policy for medication administration
  • Use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients
  • Deliver quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies
  • Assist or perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients

  • Shift differential
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in nursing required.
  • Current Registered Nurse license as required by state regulations in which the facility operates.
  • 1‑year experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
  • Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • De‑escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
