MESA SPRINGS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH HOSPITAL, FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Outpatient - Innovations Camp Bowie
Job Type: Full-time – Days Monday‑Friday, 8‑4 pm
Base pay range: $10.00/hr – $10.00/hr
What You’ll Do- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments
- Assess the patient and plan care within set time frames and document findings according to policies
- Oversee and supervise the shift
- Demonstrate leadership through duties such as delegating tasks, group supervision, close observation, and meal supervision
- Oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered
- Monitor the patient for changes of condition and respond accordingly, up to and including notifying the physician
- Follow hospital policy for medication administration
- Use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients
- Deliver quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies
- Assist or perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients

- Associate’s degree in nursing required.
- Current Registered Nurse license as required by state regulations in which the facility operates.
- 1‑year experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.
- Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
- Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
- De‑escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
