Nurse Manager – Med‑Surg
OverviewJoin the Medical City Las Colinas team as a Nurse Manager for the Med‑Surg department. The role leads department functions, ensures alignment with hospital mission, and fosters practice improvements.
Job Summary- 24/7 leadership of all departmental functions.
- Alignment of systems, support business of the department, focus on people, services, financial stewardship.
- Establish effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, peers and other departments.
- Day‑to‑day operational oversight including payroll, hiring, counseling, coaching, orientation, competency validation and annual evaluations.
- Provide clinical leadership and decision making for the department.
- Develop and implement departmental strategy and deliver on quality, patient safety, and financial goals.
- Lead staffing planning, scheduling, competence validation, and performance management.
- Ensure best practices, continuous improvement, and collaborative culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
- Texas State RN or RN Compact License acceptable under eNLC guidelines.
- 2+ years as Department Director or Manager experience.
