RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM

• 36 guaranteed hours per week

• Call requirements include one weekday per week and one weekend per month

• Weekend call is 24 hours starting Friday at 3:00 PM until Monday at 7:00 AM

• Must have strong neuro experience with 2+ years of OR experience in acute care setting

• 85% spine procedures, 15% brain procedures

• Work with high volume of general surgery, neurosurgery including cranial procedures, orthopedic, robotic, urology, plastic surgery, heart and transplant procedures

• Operate DaVinci XI, Globus and Mako robots, microscopes, and other standard OR equipment

• Work with 1-2 surgical techs per case in 1:1 patient ratio

• Document using Meditech system

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale

• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)

• Floating as needed to other units

• Facility provides scrubs with specific dress code requirements including no gel or artificial nails, neat hair with no extreme styles or colors, covered tattoos when possible, and no visible piercings other than ears
