American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring a TX or compact RN license and a 7P-7A night shift schedule.

• Inpatient Rehabilitation unit (3E) with 18 beds
• Staffing model includes RNs and PCTs with patient ratios of 5-6:1
• Patient population may include neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic adult rehab cases
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements
• Floats to medical-surgical units in rotation with unit staff

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• 1 year of recent relevant experience required
• 2 years of inpatient hospital experience preferred, including medical-surgical, stepdown critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation nursing
• Prior acute rehabilitation experience preferred
• Experience in neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic nursing a plus
• Willingness to learn specialty patient mobilization techniques and rehabilitation-specific documentation
• Strong attention to detail and openness to coaching on documentation practices
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Perform rehabilitation nursing care including patient mobilization, urinary catheterization, peripheral IV insertion, blood administration, central line and wound dressing changes, drain removal, and suture/staple removal
• Real-time training resource provided for rehabilitation-specific documentation
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue tops and pants, free of logos or fading
• Nails must be clean and healthy with no artificial enhancements
• Hair, facial hair, and grooming must be neat and professional in appearance
• Visible tattoos should be covered when possible and visible piercings other than ears are not permitted
• Must comply with facility-issued PPE requirements including N95 respirators and face shields
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience requirements
