Full-Time Position Summary The Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Engineer is responsible for managing supplier quality to ensure raw materials meet Wistron’s standards and objectives. This role involves identifying anomalies, implementing containment and corrective actions with suppliers, and conducting audits of local suppliers. The Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Engineer works closely with internal teams and suppliers to maintain compliance, improve quality performance, and prevent production line disruptions.
Key Responsibilities Create non-conforming material reports or special approvals and verify drawings with R&D.Request failure analysis (FA) related to material issues.
Evaluate and confirm raw material issues.
Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) to escalate issues to vendors and request corrective/preventive actions.
Ensure non-conforming material is kept in MRB area until final disposition is given.
Coordinate segregation and disposition of non-conforming material.
Create purge notices in WiSQMS system.
Monitor implementation of material engineering changes in IQC.Create and approve SIPs and maintain records in WiSQMS.Follow up on SCARs related to material issues.
Collaborate with IQC engineers to cover functions between SQM and IQC roles.
Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or above.
•
Experience:
Minimum 1 year in SQE, supplier development, or internal auditing.
• Technical
Skills:
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of SMT and FA manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with GD&T and IPC-A-610 inspection criteria.
• Quality Systems:
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Other
Skills:
Hands-on experience with quality control tools and Kaizen implementation.
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
Effective English communication skills for reporting and global collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications CQE certification or equivalent.
Experience with supplier audits and corrective action management.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles.
Working Conditions Combination of office and production floor environment.
Requires standing and walking during inspections and audits.
Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.
Occasional travel for supplier audits and quality reviews.
Exposure to manufacturing noise and machinery; PPE provided.
