Trail Drive Management Corporation – Dickies Arena of Fort Worth, TX

Dickies Arena is a 14,000‑seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not‑for‑profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC).

Job Description

Bartenders are responsible for taking and preparing drinks for guests and delivering exceptional service to bar patrons. The Food and Beverage Bartender reports to the Dickies Arena Concessions Management Team and is a part‑time, event‑based position within the Concessions Department of Dickies Arena. The bartenders work in locations that sell food. Hours fluctuate depending on the arena event schedule.

Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum 21 years of age.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a bartending role working in a fast‑paced hospitality environment preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Works well with others, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule – nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures.
Essential Duties
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
  • Accurately mix standard cocktail recipes and maintain pour levels while multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Set‑up, maintain, and break‑down the bar at each event, ensuring proper cleaning standards are met.
  • Know the menu of the concessions location you work each night and know what food items are offered.
  • Conduct accurate inventory during each shift; perform liquor counts.
  • Complete daily paperwork to support inventory and ordering procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation for each shift (temperature logs, inventory sheets, void sheets, spoilage tracking, bottle‑for‑bottle records, etc.).
  • Understand and ensure responsible alcohol service.
  • Understand and maintain proper sanitation and food safety.
  • Be visible and ready to assist guests as needed.
  • Help maintain excellent customer service.
  • Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments.
  • Be comfortable navigating the arena and assisting guests.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as deemed appropriate by the Management Team at Dickies Arena.

Intellectual/Social, Physical Demands and Work Environment

In addition to performing the essential duties, the position requires frequent multitasking under time limits and moderate to high pressure situations. It demands constant attention to detail, accuracy, and concentration that can extend beyond 30 minutes. The role involves communicating via radio and in‑person, working independently or as part of a team, recognizing and resolving conflicts, and maintaining proper sanitation and food safety.

Physical demands include operating office devices, standing and walking, traversing stairs, and lifting or moving up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs). The work environment is primarily indoors but requires movement in and out of temperature‑controlled areas, exposure to moderate to high noise levels on event days, occasional outdoor weather conditions, and extreme temperatures when using equipment.
