Hire – Fort Worth, TX

Base pay range: $40,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yr

Summary

Hiring an experienced Bike Shop Retail Service Manager. A passion for cycling, knowledge of bicycles, motivated sales driver, and a proactive and problem‑solving attitude are qualities at the top of our list!

In this job you will
  • Manage the bike shop's service department with exceptional leadership and dedication to providing the highest quality retail experience.
  • Manage the intake of customers' bikes into the service department utilizing Bike Mart's check‑in process.
  • Manage a group of service technicians to ensure highest quality of repair work.
  • Delegate repairs to ensure deadlines are met.

Duties
  • Hire/develop service technicians.
  • Develop and mentor service employees.
  • Set clear expectations for service staff.
  • Provide training/support for staff to help them meet expectations.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback.
  • Work with buyer to ensure appropriate products are in stock when needed.
  • Manage staff hours, balancing overtime and maintaining morale.
  • Work with Sales staff to make ready new bicycles.
  • Help create and maintain a positive environment and relationship with sales staff to communicate make‑ready and sales‑specific needs.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of bicycle retail management experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in bicycle service.
  • High level of organizational ability; exceptional written and spoken communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Enthusiastically embraces the concept of serving the customer and providing an exceptional retail experience.
  • Capable of safely lifting and carrying 25 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
  • Self‑motivated, positive, friendly, able to work independently as well as in a team, and thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
