This role is all about finding new business in the mid-market space, connecting with companies that can benefit from what we do, and steering conversations that turn into wins.
This isn’t about managing an existing book of business — it’s about breaking new ground every day.
Note:
This position is 100% in-office at our Coppell, TX headquarters near Dallas (Monday through Friday). We believe collaboration and culture thrive face-to-face, and we can’t wait to welcome you to the team.
- Hunting: Research, prospect, and chase down leads. Cold calls, Linked In, email, networking — if it moves the needle, you’ll try it.
- Connecting: Understand what challenges mid-market businesses face and show them how island.io makes those problems disappear.
- Closing: You know how to pitch, negotiate, and seal the deal. No fluff — just real conversations that lead to contracts signed.
- Building Relationships: Once you’ve got their attention, keep it by being a trusted advisor, not just a salesperson.
- Teaming Up: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success so the handoff is smooth and clients feel taken care of from start to finish.
- Reporting: Keep the sales pipeline fresh and accurate, and share what’s happening with your team so everyone stays in the loop.
- At least 1-2 years experience in software sales, preferably with some exposure to cybersecurity.
- A proven closer with a track record of consistently surpassing revenue targets while driving new business growth.
- You’re a hunter and you love the chase, the strategy, and the satisfaction of winning new business.
- A quick learner who is a resourceful self-starter.
- You’re comfortable with outreach tools and Salesforce.
- Communication is your strong suit — you’re confident presenting and negotiating.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience — but show us your hustle.
