The non-exempt job classification is covered under The McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) and the contract's collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Service employees are compensated per the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits set by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division's WDs 29 CFR Part 541 and 29 CFR 4.163(f), unless otherwise modified by a CBA between labor and management.

Job Summary

Technicians must be able to explain and demonstrate the following:

Ability to apply safety procedures, including PPE.

Operate Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPC) application equipment such as compressors, application guns, grinders, vacuums, etc.

Apply CPCs on various types of ground combat and support equipment.

Determine stages of corrosion and categorize them as codes 1-5.

Perform corrosion assessments on equipment.

Assess equipment using PDA.

Perform surface preparation and touch-up procedures.

Complete online DAU CLM module on Corrosion Prevention and Control Overview training.

Inspect serviced equipment to ensure compliance with CPAC orders and directives.

Ensure daily maintenance and cleanliness of all GFE & CFE equipment.

Understand and meet productivity and quality control goals related to assigned areas.

Follow established SOPs, Policy Clarification Letters, Technical Manuals, and Audit Readiness standards.

Understand and work to meet the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL's).

Adhere to government, contract, and company policies and procedures.

Use email effectively to receive and disseminate workload tasks and information.

Maintain a safe and secure work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned in line with management and contract requirements.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Handle equipment/supplies weighing up to 50 pounds frequently; heavier items with assistance.

Exert moderate physical effort during loading, unloading, and arranging equipment.

Work indoors and outdoors in various environmental conditions, including dusty, hot, cold, or damp environments.

Work on hard or uneven surfaces.

Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum two years of maintenance-related experience; military equipment experience preferred.
Knowledge of Marine Corps equipment identification and basic functions.
Background in equipment maintenance, servicing, and accountability.

Skills

Ability to read, write, understand instructions, perform basic math, and communicate effectively.
Communicate effectively with coworkers to meet production and quality standards.
Adapt to environmental conditions to ensure workflow continuity.
Maintain morale and a harmonious work environment.

Certificates, Licenses, etc.

US Citizen.
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance or military CAC within 30 days, if required.
Familiarity with CPAC Assessment procedures.

Education

High school diploma or GED minimum.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a Corrosion Service Technician or similar.
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt).
NACE certification.
