DFW Movers & Erectors, Inc. is looking for an Industrial Machinery Millwright II to join our team!
An IM Millwright II is an experienced person; this individual manipulates industrial machinery found in factories, construction sites, and other industries. Millwrights are also known as industrial mechanics. We will rely on this individual to assemble, disassemble, maintain and install a number of industrial machines, which might take only a couple of days or as long as several weeks. Our company will also look to you when it’s time to take care of any machine parts that are defective or have outlived their usefulness.
IMMillwright II Responsibilities
- Move equipment and machinery as needed with the proper and safe use of equipment
- Align machines, such as micrometers, jacks and hoists
- Dismantle machines and remove all tools at the end of a project
- Use a variety of hand tools, measuring tools, and equipment for cutting, welding and brazing to adequately fulfill your daily job duties
- Troubleshoot equipment to figure out problems and find solutions
- Utilize cranes, forklifts, and trucks to complete large-scale projects
- Put your professional judgement to good use to decide which machines, techniques and tools are the best option for moving equipment and completing all necessary jobs
- Assist mechanics as needed to help ensure all machines operate at peak efficiency
- Package, label, and categorize machine parts after taking them apart with accuracy and according to the manufacturer’s standards and specific project requirements
- Clean up at the end of shift to make sure your job site remains well-organized and of unnecessary clutter
- Take steps to ensure every job is done in a manner that’s safe and completed according to the latest workplace safety regulations, laws and requirements
- Occasionally may be required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- A high school diploma or its equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 2 years working as a Millwright
- Physically able to complete job responsibilities
- Current knowledge of the latest OSHA and industry safety measures, precautions and equipmentli>
- Proficiency in verbal and written construction, mechanical, and trade-related English required
