Refrigeration Technician - Certification

Refrigeration Technician – 608 Certification Required

Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Pay: $38.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on experience

A Refrigeration Technician diagnoses, overhauls, adjusts, and repairs all series of motor truck and trailer equipment, with the primary focus on refrigeration unit maintenance equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair components on truck and trailer reefer units.
• Perform preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service on refrigeration equipment.
• Use diagnostic scanners, electronic test equipment, and onboard computers.
• Install new units on trailers, trucks, and vans.
• Review shop orders and complete other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience working on Thermo King or Carrier reefer units.
• Must be 608 certified and have specialized training in overhaul of refrigeration components.
• Proficiency in use of necessary trade tools.
• Ability to move, stand, walk, sit and lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
• Work in a non-climate-controlled environment; willing to travel as necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; own your own tools.
