Case Manager

The Case Manager plays a vital role in providing compassionate support and guidance throughout the reunification or repatriation process for children in care. This involves assessing each child's unique needs, coordinating with sponsors and children, finding community resources, and advocating for their rights and well-being. The Case Manager works closely with children, parents, sponsors, legal representatives, and government agencies to ensure a safe and timely reunification or repatriation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage case services comprehensively, ensuring compliance with protocols for evaluations, screenings, and secure discharge of minors.

Maintain detailed documentation to meet Vision Quest, State, and Federal regulations, reviewing assessments and related documents for accuracy.

Ensure timely submission of reports and documents according to ORR guidelines, licensing requirements, and company policies.

Communication and Coordination:

Maintain ongoing communication with ORR regarding child release.

Coordinate with external stakeholders, including case coordinators, attorneys, and advocates.

Arrange for “Know Your Rights” presentations with local attorneys.

Assist with referrals and specialty services.

Communicate professionally with all stakeholders, including sponsors and families.

Logistics and Travel Arrangements:

Arrange travel for timely discharge and transfers, including booking flights, hotels, and transportation.

Document all actions and communications as required.

Stay updated on policies and procedures and incorporate changes promptly.

Additional Tasks:

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Ability to interpret and apply ORR policies and procedures.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or related fields.
• Child welfare or case management experience encouraged.
• Preferred: ORR Case Management experience and at least one year of related work.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 or older.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Clear tuberculosis and background checks.
• Ability to pass drug tests and provide vaccination proof.
• CPR/First Aid and CPI certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive.

Working Conditions &

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, and 50 pounds rarely.
• Stand or walk up to 50% of the day; sit the rest.
• Perform bending, stooping, reaching, and grasping.
• Perform First Aid, CPR, and physical holds as trained.

The pay range for this role is $26.52 per hour at the Don Barnes Center.
