• Understand and analyze client requirements and translate them into effective, flexible Java/J2EE solutions.
• Collaborate with client technical teams to understand functional requirements and the big picture.
• Develop, maintain, and perform unit testing of Web applications and Web services.
• Apply knowledge of common Java frameworks and libraries in project work.
• Participate in web development activities including front-end technologies and responsive design considerations as applicable.
• Work in a team environment with client interfacing skills.
• Utilize continuous integration tools where applicable.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of experience with Information Technology.
• At least 2 years of experience in application design and development in Java/J2EE technologies.
• Experience with relational databases like DB2.
• Experience in development, maintenance, and unit testing of Web applications & Web services.
• Experience using common Java frameworks and libraries.
• Ability to collaborate with client technical teams to understand functional requirements and the big picture to develop effective, flexible solutions.
• Ability to work in a team environment and with client interfacing skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with Web services protocols such as REST or SOAP.
• Experience with CSS, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience in Responsive Web Design, Spring and Play Framework (optional).
• Experience with Highcharts, AJAX (optional).
• Experience working with IBM Rational Software Architect (RSA)/Web Sphere or Tomcat server environments.
• Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins (desirable).
