Overview
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Software Engineer to serve as a developer for F‑35 Pilot Systems Software (PSSW), Multi‑Function Display (MFD), and Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) teams. The role involves leading the design, development, testing, and integration of real‑time, embedded display software for TR3 and TR2 hardware. Software will be developed in C++ and OpenGL using an agile methodology.
Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, test, and integration of embedded display software.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on system integration and test.
- Apply agile/Scrum practices throughout the software lifecycle.
- Maintain high quality code standards and documentation.
- Support secret clearance and secure facility access requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–9 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
- Strong C++ programming skills with experience in embedded real‑time software.
- Experience with Python, Unix/Linux, and large embedded software development.
- Design, architecture, and design pattern knowledge.
- Agile/Scrum development experience.
- Embedded display and graphics experience (OpenGL/Vulkan).
- Embedded Linux, QT QML, and parsing/code generation.
- Test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and test philosophies.
- System Integration and Test familiarity.
- Team leadership and mission systems/avionics background.
- JavaScript, Java, and object‑oriented design patterns.

Annual base salary range: $93,200 – $164,450 (state‑specific adjustments apply). Incentive plan eligibility.
