CDL Class A Driver - Local | Fort Worth, TX

Trillium Drivers is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driver to support local deliveries and setup of modular buildings and storage units. This role is ideal for drivers who are confident working independently, enjoy hands-on work at customer sites, and prioritize safety and professionalism.

$30 per hour
Local routes - Home Daily
Overtime available
Monthly safety/performance bonus eligibility
Well-maintained, newer equipment

Job Responsibilities:

Driving & Transportation
- -Safely operate commercial vehicles (26,000+ lbs) to deliver, relocate, and retrieve modular buildings and storage units
-Navigate customer sites, highways, and varied terrain
-Operate delivery equipment such as 5th wheel, ball hitch, and tilt flatbed
-Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations

Load Handling & Securement
- -Secure loads using chains, tie-downs, and rigging equipment
-Ensure compliance with weight, width, and clearance requirements
-Monitor load stability during transport and make adjustments as needed

Site Assessment & Setup
- -Conduct on-site evaluations for terrain, access, overhead clearance, and grade
-Independently complete unit setup and tear-down, including leveling, cribbing, and basic anchoring
-Install value-added items such as steps, ramps, and security hardware
-Position units according to customer specifications and safety requirements

Communication & Customer Interaction
- -Maintain communication with dispatch regarding routes, delays, or site challenges
-Serve as the on-site point of contact during deliveries
-Accurately log delivery completion and status using electronic systems

Safety & Compliance
- -Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations
-Participate in safety meetings and required training
-Maintain a professional appearance and safe work behavior

Qualifications:

Required
- -Valid CDL Class A
-Clean driving record with no major violations
-Current DOT medical card
-Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
-High School Diploma or GED
-Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
-Comfortable using GPS, electronic logs, and mobile apps
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings

Preferred
-
- Experience with load securement or construction environments
-Wide-load hauling experience
-Modular unit setup experience
