Position OverviewThe Warehouse Operator Trainee assists with day‑to‑day warehouse operations: receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials. The trainee operates equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, follows safety protocols, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports overall warehouse efficiency.
Position Responsibilities- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials and shipments.
- Organize and put away materials in designated locations.
- Accurately pick, issue, stage, and deliver material to different departments on site.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Document and record all material transactions in SAP to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily safety inspections of work areas and operating equipment.
- Perform housekeeping in work areas as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Experience with inventory systems or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to communicate with management and staff professionally and effectively.
