Salary:
Classification 11 $ 28.62 - $29.50 per hour in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional $0.58/hour in lieu of benefits and have 6% vacation pay paid out with each pay.
Description:
The Lead Invigilator coordinates and participates in exam invigilation services, working with academic departments, faculty, and external agencies to schedule and deliver invigilation services. This role oversees the development, scheduling, and coordination of examinations primarily for the Dawson Creek and Fort St. John campuses, forwarding requests to other campuses and cancelling sessions as required.
The Lead Invigilator liaises with the Accessibility Services Coordinator and instructors to arrange and administer accommodated exams, prepares and distributes assessment schedules, and monitors invigilation-related revenues and expenditures in support of budget oversight.
Additional responsibilities include training and supporting invigilators, maintaining accurate invigilation statistics and records, and contributing to the development and continuous improvement of invigilation policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Proficiency with the current version of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to invigilate exams in strict accordance with established guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and test security, and completing all required documentation.
- Ability to learn and use database systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong organizational, record-keeping, and attention-to-detail abilities.
- Current and valid driver's license.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Preferred:
- Experience invigilating exams in a post-secondary setting.
