Chair of Health Sciences Programs

Location: Dawson Creek

Take on the role of Chairperson for the Allied Health and Human Services Programs at Northern Lights College from June 2026 to June 2028 with a half-time teaching release. Drive educational excellence and team cohesion.

This position, reporting to the Dean of Health Sciences and Human Services, requires a dedicated leader to maintain and enhance the quality of education within the department. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing curriculum development, student support, and creating a collaborative atmosphere among faculty. A consistent on-campus presence will be expected from September through June to ensure community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide educational initiatives in Allied Health programs

• Ensure high standards for curriculum and assessment

• Promote teamwork and effective collaboration within the department

• Assist in faculty professional development and student services

• Uphold excellence in teaching and scholarship standards

Requirements:

• Current regular employee of Northern Lights College

• Appropriate educational qualifications for program leadership

• At least five years of relevant instructional experience

• Strong commitment to educational leadership principles

• Exemplary communication and team-building skills

Lead the Allied Health department and contribute to the student success at Northern Lights College during this impactful two-year appointment.
