English and Social Studies Teacher

Position: English and Social Studies Teacher Needed
Drive student success as a full-time Social Studies and English teacher with School District No. 60 at North Peace Secondary School. This full-time temporary role emphasizes creating a nurturing learning environment through effective teaching methods.

Commencing September 1, 2026, you will engage with secondary students in various subjects, including Career Life Education.

Your role will involve employing differentiated strategies, nurturing emotional and social development, and exhibiting excellent collaboration skills. Building a positive, inclusive classroom community is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English, Social Studies, and Career Life Education effectively

• Use universal design principles to meet learners' needs

• Create an inclusive and encouraging classroom culture

• Work collaboratively with staff to support student learning

• Maintain proactive and dignified classroom management

Requirements:

• Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate or eligibility proof

• Experience teaching at the secondary level with proven abilities
