Join the team at Duncan Cran Elementary School as an Education Assistant, providing vital support and supervision in both classroom and School Meal settings. This role focuses on enhancing students’ daily educational experience.

The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers and district staff to support students through tailored programs, providing necessary feedback. Responsibilities include constructing instructional materials, supervising student educational activities, and providing personal care assistance as required under IEPs. This role also entails operational duties during lunch hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing educational programs and feedback

• Supervise students during various activities and meal times

• Create and prepare educational materials tailored for students

• Record academic and behavioral data for monitoring progress

• Develop positive relationships and foster student independence

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Educational Assistant Certification with relevant training

• Must maintain current Level 1 First Aid Certification

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

• Food Safe Certificate and commitment to ongoing development
