Educational Assistant

Join CHEK ABC as an Educational Assistant supporting elementary students in Fort St. John, BC. Engage in meaningful one-to-one interactions in a home education context for 12 hours weekly.

This part-time position welcomes passionate individuals to work directly with children, especially those needing educational support.

Experience with neurodiverse students, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, is valuable. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with families are essential in creating impactful learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one educational assistance to elementary students

• Adapt learning strategies for neurodiverse students

• Collaborate with families and support teams effectively

• Maintain professional and respectful interactions

• Conduct regular assessments of students’ progress

Requirements:

• Experience in educational or behavioral support settings

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Valid Criminal Record Check for working with children

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
