In this position, you will work with students who struggle with mental health issues, coordinating with teachers and counselors to deliver tailored support. Your responsibilities include facilitating counseling sessions, participating in team meetings, and managing behavior programs. This role plays a key part in enhancing the educational journey for at-risk youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate in school-based team meetings and student progress
• Implement life skills and social skills programs
• Provide individual and group crisis intervention
• Facilitate group counseling sessions with supervision
• Connect families with external services as needed
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of relevant college credits
• Current experience in youth counseling preferred
• Clean driver's abstract and valid B.C. license
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
