District School Psychologist

Position: District School Psychologist (Full-Time)
Shape student success as a District School Psychologist at School District No. 60 (Peace River North) for the  academic year. Engage in direct and indirect services to support educational needs and student development.

This full-time position focuses on providing psycho-educational assessments and collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student learning experiences. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will address educational challenges through evidence-based interventions and assessments, contributing to a nurturing school community that values every student's potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psycho-educational assessments for referrals

• Collaborate with educators and support staff

• Plan and facilitate in-services for educational strategies

• Provide consultation regarding student strengths and needs

• Assist in program evaluation and research activities

Requirements:

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in educational psychology

• Current BC College of Health Care Professionals membership

• Knowledge of special education policies

• Experience with Social Emotional Learning techniques

• Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
