As a Youth Care Worker, you will assist students struggling with emotional and behavioral issues in both alternative and mainstream educational settings. Your duties include crisis intervention, counseling, and working closely with a diverse team of educators. You will help create a nurturing environment that enables all students to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in student placement and progress evaluations
• Assist in developing tailored life skills programs
• Provide crisis management and intervention support
• Lead group counseling sessions under direction
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Two years of college coursework in youth counseling
• Recent experience in crisis resolution needed
• Valid B.C. driver's license and clean abstract
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
