Take on a temporary role as a District ELL Support Teacher with School District No. 60 from September 8 to October 2, 2026. Engage with ELL students in diverse school settings.

This full-time position requires providing language assessments and supporting programming for English Language Learners. The teacher will collaborate with classroom educators to enhance language acquisition plans and deliver impactful workshops for school staff. Being mobile to travel between schools, including rural ones, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide language assessment services per ELL Policy

• Review and report on student progress and programming

• Collaborate with ELL and classroom teachers on strategies

• Plan and deliver professional development workshops

• Support direct ELL instruction and co-teaching initiatives

Requirements:

• Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate

• Experience with students having complex needs

• Level B assessment certification, or willingness to obtain

• Strong communication and computer skills

• Preferred training in ELL methodology
