Position: Learning Support Specialist at Northern Lights College
Become a Learning Support Specialist at Northern Lights College, focusing on student wellness and retention. This role involves both in-person and remote support for students in Fort St. John and distance studies.

As a Learning Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome barriers to success through holistic approaches. Your responsibilities will include creating student success workshops, responding to Early Alerts, and linking students to essential resources. This is a temporary position with a primary focus on student wellbeing and crisis management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with students to identify barriers to learning

• Organize pedagogically sound workshops for student success

• Respond to Early Alerts from faculty and maintain contact records

• Connect students with community wellness resources

• Support students on academic monitoring and create safety plans

Requirements:

• Master's degree in a related field

• 3-5 years in post-secondary education or related experience

• Training in crisis response and student wellness

• Strong presentation and organization skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and online webinars
