Position: Primary Literacy Teacher Traveling Across District
Location: Dawson Creek

Engage with students and enhance their literacy skills as a Primary Literacy Teacher from September 2026 to June 2027, covering Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, and Dawson Creek. This role emphasizes effective literacy strategies and collaboration.

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree focused on literacy, along with three to five years of successful experience teaching Kindergarten to Grade
3. Responsibilities involve strategic travel to various schools, assisting with reading assessments, and planning district-wide literacy workshops. The role requires flexibility for after-school engagements and a commitment to the District's literacy vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel weekly to designated schools and regions

• Conduct reading level assessments in schools

• Collaborate with classroom teachers on literacy methods

• Organize and facilitate literacy workshops for teachers

• Mentor Literacy Resource Teachers with best practices

Requirements:

• Relevant Master’s degree or significant coursework

• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle necessary

• Ability to accommodate after-school sessions

• Proven results in literacy pedagogy

• 3-5 years experience in literacy education
