Join the Ministry of Culture, Heritage and Language as a Cultural Coordinator focusing on Métis culture and history. Develop resources and engage audiences through workshops and educational materials.
In this role, you will support the Cultural Integration and Resource portfolio, ensuring the accuracy of Métis cultural content. Your expertise will facilitate learning opportunities for MNBC staff, citizens, and the public while building relationships with Métis Elders and communities. This position emphasizes collaboration and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct research on Métis culture and history
• Facilitate workshops and educational presentations
• Provide cultural resources to staff and citizens
• Coordinate development of Métis-specific resources
• Assist in writing grant proposals supporting cultural wellness
Requirements:
• Diploma in Education or related field
• Three years’ experience in educational resource development
• Two years’ experience in facilitating workshops
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Advance Métis cultural awareness and education as a Cultural Coordinator with the Ministry in British Columbia.
