Position: Special Education Resource Teacher Opportunity
School District No. 60 is seeking a full-time Learning Assistant/Special Education Resource Teacher at Bert Ambrose Elementary School. Engage with students, utilize inclusive practices, and enhance educational experiences in Fort St. John.

This LAT/SERT position requires collaborative teaching at a K-6 school in Fort St. John, serving a diverse student body including Indigenous learners. You will design inclusive lessons using universal design and differentiation, ensuring every student feels supported and engaged. Successful applicants will possess strong communication and organizational skills while fostering a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement inclusive teaching strategies for diverse learners

• Design and modify lessons based on BC Curriculum

Requirements:

• Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate

• Experience in Special Education and universal design

• Knowledge of social emotional learning techniques

• Strong understanding of assessment practices

• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
