Educational Technology Specialist at Northern Lights

Become a vital part of Northern Lights College as an Educational Technology Specialist focused on enhancing teaching and learning through technology. Support faculty in using D2L Brightspace and various digital tools.

This position reports to the Associate Dean of Health Sciences, Human Services, and Quality Assurance. The role requires strong pedagogical knowledge, technical expertise, and experience in educational technology. You'll work independently while collaborating with faculty to optimize the use of instructional tools and enhance learners' experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist faculty with D2L Brightspace and other educational tools

• Provide technical guidance on web-conferencing platforms

• Develop media content using authoring tools

• Participate in cross-functional teams and communities of practice

• Respond to inquiries related to education technologies

Requirements:

• Diploma in Educational Technology or related field

• 2 years' experience in instructional design or e-learning

• Knowledge of learning theories and course design

• Strong multimedia authoring skills

• Understanding of adult pedagogy principles
