Field Operator – Sour Gas, Compression & Dehydration
Location: Fort St. John British Columbia
Shift: 14 days on / 14 days off
Travel/accommodations:
Camp is available, however, must be within driving distance to site as travel is not provided
Our client, a leading energy producer operating in Northeast British Columbia, is seeking an experienced Field Operator with strong sour gas operations experience and hands-on knowledge of compression and molecular sieve dehydration (Mol Sieve Dehy) facilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently monitoring and operating field production equipment, troubleshooting operating issues, and maintaining reliable production in a sour gas environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor sour gas production facilities and associated field equipment.
- Perform routine inspections, equipment checks, and operational rounds.
- Operate and monitor compressors and associated compression equipment.
- Operate and maintain molecular sieve dehydration equipment.
- Identify and respond to abnormal operating conditions and equipment issues.
- Complete field readings, logs, and operational documentation.
- Follow all site safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with field and operations teams.
- Support safe start-ups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting activities.
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- Previous experience as a Field Operator in a sour gas environment

. - Strong understanding of field production operations and process equipment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to work in a remote field environment.
14 days on / 14 days off
, including day and night shifts.
