Elevate your engineering career with Northern Health as the Lead Power Engineer for the new Dawson Creek Hospital. This supervisory role focuses on team management, safety adherence, and operational excellence.
In this pivotal position, you will oversee a team of 4th Class Power Engineers, preparing for the facility's Spring 2027 opening. Your leadership will drive operational success and enhance community health services through effective power plant management. This role includes after-hours support and overseeing administrative functions for the power plants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and guide a team of power engineers
• Ensure safe operation of power and low-pressure plants
• Manage administrative tasks and daily operations
• Provide after-hours support on a rotating schedule
• Review blueprints, assisting in machine operations
Requirements:
• Certificate as a 4th Class Power Engineer in BC
• Minimum 3 years of related experience, with 1 year in supervisory
• Valid BC Driver’s License required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform physical duties of the role
