Join Peace River Regional District as a full-time Parks and Rural Recreation Coordinator. Support community services, manage projects, and liaise with local stakeholders to enhance regional parks and recreation.
In this permanent role, you will report to the General Manager of Community Services. You’ll be responsible for delivering community programs, coordinating with various organizations, and facilitating grant applications. Your expertise will ensure effective service planning and policy development while overseeing agreements and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support community services and recreation program initiatives
• Liaise with community groups and local governments
• Assist with policy development and service planning
• Coordinate parks, recreation agreements, and contracts
• Inspect facilities and assist community organisations
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in relevant field
• Three years experience in local government or recreation
• Experience with community groups and public-sector partners
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and ability to work in Canada
