Parks Coordination Position in Peace River

Location: Dawson Creek

Empower the Peace River community as a full-time Parks and Rural Recreation Coordinator at Peace River Regional District. Focus on service delivery, project management, and community partnerships in this permanent role.

Reporting to the General Manager of Community Services, you will manage multiple aspects of community services, including recreation and park management. Your work will involve liaising with different stakeholders, assisting with grants and inspections, and developing policies that cater to community needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage community services and grants initiatives

• Collaborate with local governments and stakeholders

• Assist in developing procedures and agreements

• Oversee inspections of parks and community facilities

• Support local recreational organisations and services

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in recreation or equivalent

• Three years of relevant experience in community services

• Excellent communication and project management skills

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence required for employment
