Elevate your planning career with City Services as a Planner I, focusing on community engagement and development permit processing.
Your role impacts effective zoning and planning initiatives for residents.
As a Planner I, you will provide technical planning support, manage complex development applications, and assist on key planning policy projects. With two years of relevant experience and a degree in planning or human geography, you will effectively communicate with community members and contribute to public meetings. Your analytical skills will support research and policy making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate development permit and variance processing
• Write and coordinate planning reports for Council
• Assist in the organization of public engagement events
• Review and provide zoning bylaw amendment feedback
• Support the Planning Technologist as needed
Requirements:
• Degree in planning or related discipline
• Minimum two years of planning experience
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
• Knowledge of municipal bylaws
• Eligible for Canadian Planning Institute membership
