Education  Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Work Setting  Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio.
Responsibilities   Shampoo customers' hair.
Shave and trim beards and mustaches.
Provide hair treatment such as waving, straightening, tinting and scalp conditioning massages.
Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair.
Apply hair styling techniques: blow drying, spiking.
Security and Safety  Criminal record check.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities  Repetitive tasks; attention to detail; hand-eye coordination; combination of sitting, standing, walking.
Experience  Will train.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees  Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition; provides diversity and cross‑cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Support for Youth  Offers on‑the‑job training tailored to youth; provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Support for Indigenous People  Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers; provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
