Education  College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
Work Site Environment  Noisy. Odours.
Work Setting  Esthetician's salon. Beauty shop or aesthetic service. Day spa.
Responsibilities   Body care/treatments
Provide general information to customers on beauty products
Advise on beauty products suited to customers' colouring and skin type
Perform exfoliating body treatment
Apply make‑up on customers
Apply or remove artificial nails and nail art
Clean, trim and polish nails
Eyebrow tinting
Provide gel and acrylic nail extensions
Facials
Provide therapeutic foot massage
Perform cashiering duties
Schedule and confirm appointments
Sell establishment products
Manicures
Pedicures
Relaxation massage
Skin care
Waxing
Refer clients with unusual skin conditions to physicians
Eyebrow threading
Eyelash extensions
Provide customer service
Required Certifications and Experience  Esthetician certification. Experience as cosmetician, cosmetologist, esthetician, manicurist, pedicurist, or nail and lashes applicator, with 5 years or more in the field.
Physical and Personal Suitability   Repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, attention to detail
Standing for extended periods; combination of sitting, standing, walking
Hand‑eye coordination
