The Physician Assistant (PA), Emergency, performs a variety of clinical duties and responsibilities within the scope of a Physician Assistant as defined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia CPSBC. Clinical care provided by the PA will occur in select facilities across the organization under the supervision of a PA Emergency Program Physician Supervisor (the Physician Supervisor). The PA reports to a Site Administrative Manager but is accountable to the Physician Supervisor or delegate for overall provision of quality of care and professional development.
The PA supports the provision of continuous care in a team-based environment working collaboratively with the Emergency Department attending physicians (ED Physicians), medical residents, nursing, and allied health professionals to care for patients.
Starting salary will be approximately from $88,990 to $111,237 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Functional reporting relationshipsThe Physician Assistant, Emergency reports to the physicians supervisor, or delegate for all matters pertaining to their clinical practice. The Physician Assistant, Emergency administratively reports to the Manager, Clinical Operations or delegated administrative leader.
