Service Desk Technician

Help City staff resolve technology issues through service desk support, sound troubleshooting, and clear communication as an IT Technician I. Work across support channels.

Under the IT Manager, this technician provides operational assistance for the City's information technology services. Daily work includes responding to incidents, escalating complex issues, and supporting users through phone, email, remote tools, ticketing systems, and in-person assistance. Collaboration and cross-training support service continuity.

• Respond to service desk requests and technical incidents
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate unresolved problems appropriately
• Provide user training, guidance, and technology education
• Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, account access, and equipment deployment
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders on service delivery

• Two years in an information technology support environment or equivalent
• Certificate, diploma, or related post-secondary information technology education
• Ability to troubleshoot using sound judgment and initiative
• Ability to manage priorities and maintain accurate records
• Effective communication and positive working relationships
