Join the Community Services team as a Facilities Labourer in Fort St. John, focusing on maintenance, custodial work, and ensuring the operational integrity of recreational facilities. This role includes varied shifts and requires a strong commitment to quality work.
The Facilities Labourer will perform essential tasks like refrigeration checks, ice maintenance, and cleaning duties. You'll also be involved in setup for events and ensuring facilities are safe for public use. Flexibility with working hours, including weekends, is necessary to meet the community's needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform operational checks on ice and pool facilities
• Open and secure facilities for public access
• Maintain grounds through custodial tasks
• Set up for events and manage facility usage
• Conduct safety inspections and remove potential hazards
Requirements:
• Completion of high school education or equivalent
• Valid class 5 Driver’s License
• Refrigeration Safety Awareness certification required
• Ability to perform heavy cleaning and lifting tasks
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
