Join The Salvation Army as a full-time Facility Custodian in Fort St. John, BC, focused on maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role requires attention to detail and basic maintenance skills.
As a Facility Custodian at The Salvation Army, you will oversee the cleanliness of our facility and property, ensuring compliance with health standards. Working hours are Monday to Friday, where you'll engage in various cleaning tasks and minor repairs. Ideal candidates should have practical experience in cleaning and be capable of managing custodial supplies efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure cleanliness of the facility and grounds
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Inspect and secure building doors and windows
• Collect and dispose of garbage responsibly
• Manage landscaping and exterior upkeep duties
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of WHMIS training
• Experience of three months to one year in similar roles
• Strong analytical skills and professionalism
• Physical ability to handle heavy lifting and varied work conditions
