Skilled Maintenance Worker Position

Become an essential part of The Salvation Army as a Skilled Maintenance Worker. This role emphasizes equipment care, repairs, and proactive safety measures within the facility.

You will perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical repairs and plumbing work, while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with contractors for quality assurance and manage maintenance logs throughout your shifts. This position requires substantial attention to detail to uphold safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance

• Manage minor renovation projects such as drywall repair

• Monitor contractor quality and log repairs

• Handle general upkeep of the facility and outdoor areas

• Maintain an organized personal logbook of tasks

Requirements:

• Completion of High School education

• One year of relevant maintenance experience

• Valid BC driver’s license and WHMIS training

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to follow detailed instructions carefully
