Custodian at Anne Roberts Young Elementary

Join Anne Roberts Young Elementary as a Custodian, responsible for cleaning and minor maintenance tasks. This full-time role involves securing facilities, maintaining equipment, and seasonal clean-ups.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will carry out custodial duties while collaborating with the Head Custodian and administrative staff. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of cleaning experience and must be well-organized. This role requires safety training and good interpersonal skills to maintain a conducive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect school interiors, fixtures, and windows

• Secure doors and windows in designated areas

• Perform minor maintenance on school fixtures and furniture

• Organize daily work activities to meet cleaning priorities

• Assist with seasonal cleaning tasks like waxing floors

Requirements:

• Grade 10 or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year of relevant cleaning experience

• Ability to operate cleaning equipment

• Valid Class 5 driver's license preferred

• WHMIS Certificate to be completed during probation
