The Work

You will be cleaning industrial tanks and vessels on a shutdown, working inside confined spaces in a Tyvek suit, full face respirator and rubber boots. The days are 12 hours, the conditions are hot and enclosed, and the schedule does not move. Crews work under a supervisor with an attendant on the hole watch at all times. If you have done tank cleaning, industrial vac work or confined space entry before, you already know what this job asks for.

  • Work for extended periods inside confined spaces, including tanks and vessels
  • Perform duties in full PPE including Tyvek suit, full face respirator and rubber boots
  • Safely complete cleaning scopes in hot, enclosed environments
  • Maintain constant communication with attendants and supervisors during confined space operations
  • Support shutdown timelines by completing assigned scopes on schedule
  • Take part in pre-job hazard assessments, toolbox talks and safety meetings
  • Follow all client, site and Grizzly Trek safety policies without exception
What You Bring

  • Candidates must fully understand that this is difficult work and be prepared for uncomfortable conditions
Why Tank Cleaners Take This Job

The work starts now, not next quarter. Your hotel is covered and you get $50.00 a day for food, so the wage stays in your pocket instead of going to a room and meals. Overtime starts after 8 hours in a day, and on 12 hour shifts that adds up fast. Tank cleaning is hard, and the crews who show up and do it properly are the ones who get called first for the next shutdown.

Pay is a gross hourly rate before…
