The Salvation Army seeks a Custodian to maintain facility cleanliness in Fort St. John, ensuring a welcoming environment for all. This role involves regular cleaning tasks, minor repairs, and property upkeep.
As a Custodian, you will contribute to the Community and Family Services/Thrift Store at the Northern Centre of Hope. This on-site position works Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Your duties will encompass various responsibilities including cleaning, maintenance, and providing secure access to the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean floors, washrooms, and windows regularly
• Mow lawns and perform seasonal yard work
• Ensure building security by checking doors and windows
• Restock washroom supplies as needed
• Conduct minor repairs in plumbing and electrical
Requirements:
• High School education or equivalent
• WHMIS training is required
• 3-12 months related experience in cleaning
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle physical labor effectively
