Ensure cleanliness and safety at The Salvation Army's Northern Centre of Hope in Fort St. John. As a Facility Custodian, maintain property standards and assist in minor repairs while following safety protocols.
Join The Salvation Army’s dedicated team, where the focus is on community service and support. This role involves upkeeping facility cleanliness and making sure everything runs smoothly. Your tasks will include cleaning, minor repairs, and providing access to different areas within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean floors, washrooms, and windows throughout the facility
• Maintain external property such as lawns and sidewalks
• Perform minor repairs in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work
• Restock washroom supplies as needed
• Ensure facility security by monitoring doors and windows
Requirements:
• High school education or equivalent experience
• WHMIS training certification required
• 3–12 months of prior cleaning or maintenance experience
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
