Social Media Communications Officer

Social media content and platform management define this Communications Officer role in Fort St. John or Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Work Monday through Friday, 35 hours weekly.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Communications Officer creates, reviews, edits, and publishes optimized written, photographic, and video graphic content. The position focuses on social media while supporting marketing and recruitment events. Strong organization, attention to detail, and relationship-building across Northern Lights College and the community are central.

• Create and publish optimized social media content
• Manage profiles across numerous communications platforms
• Plan and evaluate marketing and recruitment events
• Monitor competitors and participate in relevant social conversations
• Provide information to prospective students and stakeholders

• Diploma in a related discipline
• Minimum two years of social media marketing experience
• Knowledge of platform-specific content, campaigns, advertising, and analytics
• Post-secondary marketing and communications experience preferred
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
